The Red Bull Signature Series native app was created to provide a premium 'Second Screen' entertainment experience for the 15 Signature Series events broadcasted on NBC year-long.



The app provides users with a deep level of rich content to engage with for each event. All videos, photos, and 'Signature Stories' are administered through a custom built Content Management System; giving Red Bull and NBC the freedom to post relavant material at any point before, during, or after an event.



Furthermore, while a live event is in progress users are able to watch it directly on their smart phones or tablets via a digital stream - synched to the TV broadcast.  This 'Live' mode enables contextual stories to fall into a live feed while the broadcast plays out. For example: if there is a big crash, or an epic trick landed, users can get up-to-the-second information and updates about it in the form of text/photos/videos. Users are also able to leave comments on a live broadcast, and those comments are recorded in the CMS for playback when the broadcast becomes available as an on-demand video.
